Frequently Asked Questions About Victoria Club Tread
Victoria Club Tread is one of Victoria's most active outdoor recreation clubs, founded in British Columbia as a non-profit society in 1987. Our activities include hiking, backpacking, cycling, camping, skiing/snowshoeing, walking, paddling, etc.
How do I join the CDMC?
To join the CDMC, you will need to complete a Membership Registration form, submit a CDMC/FMCBC Waiver form, and submit membership fees. Go to the Membership/Registration/Waiver page to get started!
How long is my membership good for?
CDMC Memberships are annual from February 1 to January 31. Membership fees paid from February 1-October 31 are valid until January 31 of the following year. Membership fees paid November 1 – January 31 carried forward to the next year.
What is an Associate Membership?
Associate Member fees are available for CDMC members who have already paid FMCBC fees to another club. The members’ “home club” information will be collected for CDMC record
Does the CDMC have a Guest Member/Trial Membership option?
The CDMC does not have a Guest Member or Trial Membership option. All participants on CDMC trips must be paid members.
Does the CDMC have a family rate, or can my children join a trip with me?
The CDMC does not have a family rate. All participants on CDMC trips must be paid members. Children over the age of 6 may be paid members of the CDMC, but must be accompanied on CDMC trips by a member parent or guardian. Children will need to have a Meetup.com account in order to be signed up for CDMC trips and events.
How Do I Become a CDMC Trip Leader or Co-Leader?
Read the “Becoming a CDMC Leader” document found under Guidelines on the Member Resources Page, and email the Trip Coordinator at cdmctripcoordinator@gmail.com if you have any questions.
How do I log in to access the Member Resources page?
To access the Member Resources page, click on the Members menu and select Member Resources. Enter your Username (or email address) and Password in the fields and click “Login”. You can also Log in by clicking on “Login” in the top right-hand corner of this page.
Your Username is your first and last name, as one word (i.e.: FirstnameLastname). Use the “Forgot Your Password” link to reset your password as necessary, and if you need some help, check out the CDMC Member Website Instructions page, or email cdmcmembership@gmail.com.
What other information is available to members on the Member Resources page?

some .gpx files for member-only access.
Member Concerns
As a club member, if you have an issue or concern, please go to the bottom of the About/Governance page where you will find a link to initiate a feedback form. Alternatively, simply click here and complete the form. The Board of Directors will receive your concern and it will be discussed as necessary.

VCT is a hiking club that was established as a non-profit society in Victoria in 1987. We encourage folks of all ages and skill levels to explore the outdoors with us
What We Do
VCT runs year-round and uses Meetup to schedule hikes and other events, which may include snowshoeing, cycling, walking, multi-day backpacking, kayaking etc.
Where We Go
We are based in the south island, however we do not limit ourselves to this region only. We may find ourselves anywhere between the Sooke Hills and Cape Scott!
