Constitution

  1. The name of the society is VICTORIA CLUB TREAD.
  2. The purposes of the society are:
  • to organize a programme of guided hikes and expeditions;
  • to promote the conservation and appropriate use of Parks and wilderness areas;
  • to promote outdoor education and sound leadership skills;
  • to undertake projects such as development, improvement and maintenance of trails and other amenities, when and where feasible, in partnership with BC Parks and private landholders.
  • The VCT is registered under the BC Society/Societies Act and is governed by its Societies Regulation. The club Constitution is on file with the Province of British Columbia Registrar of Companies.

Bylaws

The current VCT Bylaws, were approved at the 2018 AGM and have been filed with the Province of British Columbia Registrar of Companies.

Who We Are

VCT is a hiking club that was established as a non-profit society in Victoria in 1987. We encourage folks of all ages and skill levels to explore the outdoors with us

What We Do

VCT runs year-round and uses Meetup to schedule hikes and other events, which may include snowshoeing, cycling, walking, multi-day backpacking, kayaking etc.

Where We Go

We are based in the south island, however we do not limit ourselves to this region only. We may find ourselves anywhere between the Sooke Hills and Cape Scott!
